Creative Memories through our services have created a specialised Public & Products Insurance Policy for the exclusive use of the Consultants of Creative Memories. If you are a Consultant of Creative Memories, you are invited to join this programme.

FAQ (Public & Products Liability):

What details do Creative Memories provide the insurer about me?

The full name and address of each Consultant is sent to the Insurer by Creative Memories. This information is used solely for the purposes of retaining a list of ‘insured persons’ in the event a claim occurs in the future. In no way will the insurer use these details for marketing purposes.

 

 

What is Public & Products Liability?

Public & Products Liability provides the Creative Memories Consultants or ‘insured’ with cover against a claim being made against them by a Third Party. This claim could be damage to property owned by a third party, or it could be injury to a third party. It could be brought on by a direct or indirect action of the consultant or a product supplied by the consultant.

 

 

What do I do if I require a Certificate of Currency with an Interested Party?

Sometimes shopping centres, public halls, event managers, or marketing companies require a Certificate of Currency noting their interest. If this is the case, please call Affinity Insurance Services Pty Ltd on 02 4322 7856 and the staff will arrange this for you. You will need to provide the staff of Affinity Insurance Services with the following information:

 

a) Your full name and address:

b) The exact name of the Interested Party:

c) Dates of the Event you require the certificate for:

-          If you require a certificate for more than one date or event such as a regular market stall, please advise the staff of the frequency of your event (ie weekly, fortnightly, monthly etc).

The staff of Affinity Insurance Services are required to check with Creative Memories to ensure that you have made your contribution before providing you with any form of Certificate of Currency. Consultants that have not contributed are not covered by this policy. 

 

Does this Insurance provide me with cover for my conduct as a professional, training that I provide to customers, or advice that I provide customers with?

No. This policy provides cover for public & products liability, and includes an extension for Errors and Omissions relating to Electronic Products as would be expected for a Creative Memories Consultant. It does not extend to Professional Conduct, Training or Advice. This type of insurance is known as Professional Indemnity Inurance.

 

 

Does this policy provide cover for me if I am injured or if my equipment is damaged?

No. This policy provides you with cover for claims made against you by a third party for damage to their goods, or injury to their person.

 

As you are not an Employee of Creative Memories but an independent consultant, you are not covered by the Workers Compensation Insurance Policy of Creative Memories. It is recommended that you consult your own insurance adviser on this matter, or call Affinity Insurance Services Pty Ltd for further advice on how you can arrange your own cover for injury.

  

Do Creative Memories make any money out of this policy?

Creative Memories do not receive any commission or income from this insurance policy. As the contribution by the consultants is adjusted each year based on the number of consultants, the amount varies from year to year. Creative Memories arranges this service through Affinity Insurance Services Pty Ltd as a benefit to you, the consultant.

 

Creative Memories do charge an administration fee separate to the insurance policy to cover their costs associated with this benefit. These costs include credit card charges and fees, computer and online systems administration, and accountancy costs.

 

Creative Memories do not sell this policy, provide this policy or provide advice on this policy.

  

Who arranges this insurance policy and provides advice on this insurance?

Who is the Insurer of this Policy?

This policy is underwritten by Vero Insurance Limited (ABN 48 005 297 807, AFS Licence No. 230859). Vero Insurance Limited  is one of Australia’s largest intermediated general insurance companies and is a member of the Suncorp Group of companies.

  

How is the premium calculated?

The insurer provides an annual premium based on an estimated number of consultants. At the end of the policy period, an actual number of consultants on the program is provided to the insurer. This results in an adjustment which is added to or deducted from the premium the following year.

  

If I join the program half way through the year, will I get a discount?

No. The premium contribution by each consultant is based on the number of consultants participating in the program. Whether you utilize one year, or one week, the contribution is the same.

  

Should I pay each year when the policy falls due?

Yes, you should pay your contribution each year as the policy falls due to ensure that you have continuous cover for claims that may be made against you.

  

I also run another business in addition to a Creative Memories Consultancy, is my other business covered by this policy?

No. This policy only relates to activities you undertake as a Creative Memories Consultant. The activities covered include home party plan demonstrations, markets and trade fairs, shopping market stalls whilst representing only Creative Memories.

 

 

Can Affinity Insurance Services arrange one policy to cover all my business activities including those outsisde of Creative Memories?

In some cases yes, where the activities undertaken are of a similar nature. If however the activities are different, it may be required to take multiple policies, one for each 'activity'. We recommend that you contact us and speak with your local Insurance Broker to give you advice specific to your circumstances.
